Growing up, my mom sewed a lot—everything from curtains to prom dresses. She’s also always had a “can-do” attitude and a passion for people. I think these things seeped into me deeply; the fundamentals of sewing and creating along with the foundation for my confidence and compassion.

I’ve been a mental health professional and passionate about children and families for many years. I’ve also found creativity to be a great source of rejuvenation and fulfillment.

The desire to make plush creatures came to me a few years ago. But the “why”, the greater purpose, didn’t show up at the same time. So, I lost focus and momentum. Months later, I had a dream and woke with clarity. Immediately, I sketched out the patterns for each creature and knew I could connect these plush creations with the critical need to spread awareness of childhood trauma; something so relevant and significant in people’s lives throughout my professional career.

I want the opportunity to provide you with meaningful merchandise while also giving you an opportunity to learn more about the life-long impacts of childhood trauma and the ability to make a positive difference.
